Additional Warren Crash Victim Donations to Remain in Fund

More than $53,000 was collected for families of the six victims of a March 10 fatal crash in Warren.

A committee of six pastors met after the funerals for the six to decide how to pay the funeral bills. But the fund is still open and donations continue to pour in.

Those same Pastors met again Friday and decided to take the remaining $5,600 and keep it in the “Gifts for our Children” fund to help out victims of the the next tragedy if and when it strikes Warren.

“We were not expecting to receive as much as we did, which was a blessing and a surprise to us and we got together as far as wisdom goes that we would take that and hold that for any future trouble or incident that would come forward,” said Elder Phillip Shealey of Greater Apostolic Faith Church.

The “Gifts for Our Children” fund remains open at Huntington Bank. As for the accident, the Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause.
