Craig Beach Hires Four Police Officers

More officers are walking the beat for a Mahoning County police department.

The Craig Beach Police Chief said four new officers have joined the force. The patrolmen will start their field training in a couple of weeks.

The new hires will bring the department up to nine officers.

Chief Abbott hopes to hire three more once this group is fully-trained.

The department has had a rough year, after former chief Joe Borosky was accused of lying during a disciplinary hearing over dash-cam video that shows him pulling a woman out of a car during a traffic stop.

Borosky has been charged with perjury.[lin_video src=×2&auto_start=0&pf_id=9626&rel=3&show_title=0&va_id=4000231&volume=8&windows=1 service=syndicaster width=425 height=330 type=iframe]
