Year #2 in Greenville for Turocy

Drew Turocy was a member of Canfield’s Division II State Championship team. He went onto have success at Akron where he was an All-Mid American Conference first-team performer. Turocy was later drafted in the 24th round by Boston in 2011. This Thursday, Drew will begin his second full season as a professional while playing for the Greenville Drive (Class – South Atlantic).

A year ago, Turocy hit .282 with 18 doubles while driving in 29 runs. The Drive’s manager is Carlos Febles, a former highly touted prospect in the Royals’ organization in the late 1990s.

Greenville will open the campaign against Charleston (NYY) on April 4.
