Youngstown State University brought more than 80 companies to campus for a career fair on Wednesday.
It was open to students and alumni. The event was a chance for individuals to network with potential employers.
A host of different companies took part, with many of them offering on-the-spot interviews. STEM majors are what many of those hiring are looking for.
“A lot of engineering companies are looking to recruit, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, various STEM fields. We have accountants being heavily recruited, really a variety of majors,” said Jennifer Johnson, YSU Director of Career Services.
This was the largest turnout of employers for the YSU spring job fair in four years.
