Fire consumes 35 acres of northeast OH park land

BEDFORD, Ohio (AP) — Firefighters had to toil for about two hours to put a brush fire in a Cleveland-area park that ended up consuming 35 acres.

A Cleveland Metroparks spokeswoman said the fire at Bedford Reservation on Thursday night started in a field. The field borders a residential neighborhood, but the fire didn’t reach it. There were no injuries.

The cause hasn’t been determined. The investigation is continuing Friday.

Bedford Reservation is southeast of Cleveland.
