Two candidates vying to be Youngstown’s next mayor addressed constituents Friday at a breakfast hosted by the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber.
Two of the three democrats running for the office got to introduce themselves and talk about their priorities.
Jamael Tito Brown and John McNally both took to the stage at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Youngstown.
Tony Paglia with the chamber said Youngstown has a lot of opportunity for growth, but the next mayor will meet challenges.
“The city continues to have problems,” said Paglia. “Their neighborhoods and the budget and things like that. So, we’re hoping that the new mayor will be a force for efficiency, government efficiency and working on problems in the neighborhoods.”
A third democratic candidate, Reverend Matthew Smith, was not at Friday’s forum.
