Salem Holds Appliance Drop-off

The city of Salem held a large appliance and furniture drop off Friday.

Bulldozers and roll-off containers were stationed in the parking lot of Timberlanes for the collection.

Microwaves, refrigerators and old television sets were some of the hundreds of items that were dropped off.

The event is one of several hosted through the Columbiana-Carroll-Harrison Solid Waste District. It will continue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
