Struthers Police Catch Purse Snatching Suspect

Struthers Police are looking for a man and woman involved in two separate purse snatchings.

A 19-year-old man was charged Friday with stealing purses from women twice at a Struthers convenience store after police released security footage of the robbery.

Larese Allen, of Youngstown, is facing charges after police said he admitted both thefts. People identified Allen from local news coverage.

Police said they are still searching for a woman, identified as Elizabeth Williams, who drove the getaway car during the alleged thefts.

Reports said the first theft happened at 11 a.m. March 25 at the Sami Quick Stop on Midlothian Boulevard at Youngstown-Poland Road. The second incident occurred at 2 p.m. Thursday.
