NEW FRANKLIN, Ohio (AP) — Police in northeast Ohio say a second teen has been charged in in the deaths of a prominent attorney and his wife near Akron.

New Franklin police say a 14-year-old is being held in jail on aggravated murder, robbery and burglary charges.

Police earlier this week charged an 18-year-old man in the deaths of the husband and wife who were beaten with a sledgehammer at their home. Police say the older suspect was dating the couple’s teenage daughter.

Autopsies showed 56-year-old Jeffrey Schobert of New Franklin and his 59-year-old wife, Margaret, died of head wounds.

The older suspect also has been charged with assaulting and stabbing the couple’s daughter who was at a hospital when her parents were killed.
