3 Injured in Mercer County Crash

Three people were injured in a car accident Friday morning in Mercer County.

Pennsylvania State Police said Linda Hoover, 65, of Greenville, failed to see a car stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Oniontown Road and Route 58 in Delaware Township.  Hoover pulled out into the intersection and struck the vehicle driven by Douglas Gilmore, 27, also of Greenville.

Gilmore and a passenger, 18-year-old Joseph Waldo of Greenville, were taken to UPMC Greenville with moderate injuries.

Hoover was also transported to the hospital and will be charged with a stop sign violation.

All three involved were wearing seatbelts.
