Mooney Holds On Against Springfield

The Cardinals hold on to beat the Tigers 6-5, despite Springfield’s four runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Drew Delsignore led the way for Mooney with two hits (double, triple) and two RBI’s.

Cody Pitzo and James Hillyer each had two RBI’s for the Tigers; while Hillyer also had a double.  Brandon Chamberlain had a double as well.

John Saadey was the winning pitcher going six and two-thirds with one strikeout and two walks.

Sawyer Stevens was the losing pitcher going three innings striking out three and walking five.

Mooney improves to 3-0 on the season.  Springfield falls to 2-1.
