Ohio congresswoman reaches out to redrawn district

AKRON, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio member of Congress is reaching out to the newest part of her redrawn congressional district.

Democrat Marcia Fudge has represented part of Cleveland and its eastern suburbs in Congress since 2008. Last year’s redistricting added part of Akron and its suburbs including Richfield and Fairlawn.

The congresswoman plans an open house Saturday afternoon at a new district office in Akron.

She also has a district office in the Cleveland suburb of Warrensville Heights, where Fudge once served as mayor and an office on Capitol Hill.
