Girl, 13, Killed in Four-Wheeler Crash

A 13-year-old girl was killed Monday evening when the four-wheeler she was riding on flipped over near state Route 644 in Franklin Township near Summitville.

According to our news partner, the Lisbon Morning Journal, Abby Walker was killed in the crash about 9:30 p.m. She was a 7th grader at Southern Local and was the daughter of Columbiana County Sheriff’s Detective Steven Walker, the newspaper reported.

Franklin Township Fire Chief Jim May performed CPR on Walker until ambulance personnel arrived, but she never regained consciousness, Columbiana County Sheriff Ray Stone said.

Southern Local Superintendent John Wilson told the newspaper that Walker was an honor students who participated in the EXCEL program, robotics and volleyball.

Grief counselors were available at the school on Tuesday.
