Jefferson Turns Girard Away

The Jefferson Falcons utilized a six-run third inning to turn away Girard, 6-5, on Monday afternoon. Troy Bloom threw four innings for the Falcons and registered six strikeouts while allowing three earned runs. Jefferson won their All-American opener as they improve to 3-2.

Girard drops to 2-4 (0-1) overall despite the efforts of Tyler Alejars (3 SBs) and Evan Standohar (2 RBIs). Nick Karajcirik was credited with the loss; however, he had the only extra base hit of the game (double).

These two teams will meet again in Girard this evening.
