Man in custody in Pa. in brother’s shooting death

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Police in western Pennsylvania say a man is in custody in the shooting death of his brother.

Authorities said a 39-year-old man was shot in the chest on an East Pittsburgh street shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the victim was taken to UPMC Mercy in critical condition but died later in the morning.

Investigators said the man’s brother surrendered to Allegheny County homicide detectives on Saturday afternoon.

Police haven’t released information about possible motives for the shooting.
