Boardman (4-4)
-The Spartans feature three pitchers who have tossed at least eight innings and have an ERA of under 2.00. Aaron Dill has thrown 12 innings while accumulating 2 saves and a 1.17 ERA. Jake Baun has accumulated 33 outs (11 innings) and leads the team with 10 strikeouts. Number 55 is third on the team with an earned run average of 1.91. Dan Boerio has compiled a 1.75 ERA in 8 innings of work. On offense, Boardman’s junior first baseman Eddie Crump leads the team with a .421 batting average (8-19), 8 RBIs, and is tied with 3 doubles.
Next Up: at Hoover, 5 p.m. (Tuesday, April 16)

Sharpsville (4-1)
-The Blue Devils have won four straight since losing their season opener to Commodore Perry (11-1). Jalen Mockabee has thrown 9 strikeouts without allowing a player to reach base on a free pass. Mockabee is 1-1 and had a complete game on his resume this year. Jalen just hasn’t had a great season on the hill, he has also been tough at the plate. Over his last two games, Mockabee has gone 7 for 9 with 4 runs scored. Sophomore Tyler Wansack has registered three consecutive multi-hit games in a row.

Champion (2-3)
-Since beginning the season slow (0-10), Mackenzie Kiser has belted three homeruns and has hit safely in her last five official at-bats with 6 runs scored. The Flashes Kayla Hunt (2-2) has hurled 28.1 innings, fanning 26 batters, while accumulating a 1.98 ERA.
