Ridge’s Strohmeyer Blanks East Palestine


Mineral Ridge starter Greg Strohmeyer threw a complete game shutout as the Rams took down East Palestine, 2-0, Monday afternoon in high school baseball.

Strohmeyer allowed just four hits over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking two.

His counterpart, Justin Fristik, took the tough loss despite allowing just one earned run and striking out eight in seven innings.

East Palestine falls to 4-4 on the season, 0-3 in the league.

These two teams meet again tomorrow, this time at Mineral Ridge at 5 p.m.
