Road Use Agreement Set for Well in Vienna

It’s expected to be a busy summer for gas well drilling companies in Trumbull County as companies are expected to put up 10 to 15 wells around the county.

Commissioners are expected to approve a Road Use and Maintenance Agreement with Halcon Resources Wednesday at its weekly meeting.

The agreement is for a horizontal well Halcon plans to install on property off Route 82 and Scoville North Road in Vienna.

Once approved, site preparation can begin immediately. County officials said they are also keeping a close eye on a well in Hartford township.

“The Brugeler well and that report should be in in about 10 to 20 days. They had the fracking done. They have what they call a soak-in period, and they will get readings from that shortly,” said RUMA coordinator Jack Simon.

Simon said Halcon has also contacted the county engineer’s office over their next location in Warren Township.
