Boil Advisory Issued in Brookfield, Hubbard Township

Residents of Brookfield and Hubbard Townships are being asked to boil their water until further notice after workers broke a water line Wednesday afternoon.

The 8-inch line is located on state Route 7 between Stewart Sharon Road and Pine Grove Avenue. The Trumbull County Sanitary Engineer’s Office said the line was broken by the contractor installing the Kermont Heights sanitary sewer project.

Residents affected by the boil advisory should bring all water used for cooking and drinking to a rolling boil for 3 to 5 minutes before use. It is not necessary to boil water used for washing dishes and clothes.

Anyone with questions should call the Trumbull County Sanitary Engineer’s Office at 33o-675-2775.
