Liberty Motorcycle crash
A Youngstown motorcyclist was injured Wednesday after he struck an SUV from behind.

A Youngstown motorcyclist was seriously injured Wednesday evening after rear-ending an SUV in Liberty Township.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Ralph G. Eisenbraun Jr., 46, was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle about 6 p.m. when he ran into the back of a 2000 GMC Jimmy that was stopped in traffic on Gypsy Lane just east of the state Route 711 connector. Both vehicles were heading west, the patrol said.

Eisenbraun was ejected from the motorcycle and was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where the patrol said he was in stable condition Wednesday night.

The driver of the SUV, Tina Lipscomb, 28, of Youngstown, drove herself to Northside Hospital, a report states.

The crash still is under investigation.
