Ursuline’s Shore Shuts Down Columbiana

Makayla Shore pitched a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts to lead Ursuline to a 4-2 victory over Columbiana at Firestone Park on Wednesday. Shore is now 6-1 on the mound on the season.

Macey Gunther and Makayla Shore each finished with two hits, including back-to-back solo home runs in the first inning for the Irish. Shore drove in two runs in the victory for Ursuline. Anny Carroll also had two hits for the Irish.

Khylea Fullum had an RBI double in the first for the Clippers.

Columbiana’s Dakota DeAmicis suffered the loss, finishing with two strikeouts and three walks.

Ursuline improves to 7-1 on the season while Columbiana drops to 8-2.
