120 kids report stomach bug at Philly-area school

WAYNE, Pa. (AP) — What appears to be a bad stomach bug has sickened more than 100 students who attend a suburban Philadelphia elementary school.

Officials at Saint Katharine of Siena School in Wayne say around 120 children and three teachers were out sick Thursday. That’s out of the 444 students and 35 teachers at the kindergarten through eighth grade school.

Principal Bud Tosti said students and teachers are complaining of stomach aches, vomiting and diarrhea.

Tosti says there aren’t any plans at the moment to close the school.
