Canfield senior Abby Baker will announce her intention to attend Wittenberg University and play softball for the “Lady Tigers” at a noon ceremony on Friday, April 19, at Canfield High School.

A multi-sport athlete for the Cardinals, Abby is a rare four-year varsity letter-winner in both girls’ basketball and softball. In softball, Abby is a leader in the infield as a shortstop or second baseman and has also pitched this year for the Lady Cards.

Active in other extracurriculars at CHS as well, Abby is president of the Y-Teens and Young Leaders Clubs and is on the school newspaper and yearbook staffs. She has a 2.85 GPA and was recently named a YWCA 2013 Mahoning County “Young Women With Bright Futures” award recipient.
