Canfield’s Turocy Will Play at Lake Erie College

Canfield senior Derek Turocy signed a letter-of-intent to attend Lake Erie College and play intercollegiate baseball.

At Canfield, Turocy played soccer his first two years and upon graduation will have earned three varsity letters in baseball. An outfielder, he was a key player in last year’s team that went 20-6, won the Division II District title and was one strike away from qualifying for the OHSAA DII state tournament.

Turocy has a 2.95 GPA and is also a member of the Y-Teens Club at CHS. He plays baseball in the summer for “OTN Performance.”
