Philly food vendor stabbed while loading cart

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Philadelphia police are looking for someone who fatally stabbed a food vendor during an apparent robbery attempt.

Investigators say it happened around 4:30 a.m. Thursday in south Philadelphia as 68-year-old Don Ly was loading up his cart for work. He was putting fruit and other food in the cart when police say the suspect came up and stabbed him in the neck multiple times.

Police say Ly was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The suspect ran from the scene and police say no arrests have been made.
