Reserve Drops 1st Game of Season


Western Reserve softball lost its first game of the season, an 8-6 decision to Liberty.

Vicki Serrano led the Leopards, going 2-for-5 with a triple and single. Lyndsay Johnson struck out nine batters, earning the victory.

The Blue Devils’ Jenny Stubbs had two singles and two RBIs, while Gabby Stubbs had a triple. April Lude pitched two innings, while Maddie Kreitzburg pitched six.

The game was tied at 5-5 at the end of regulation. Liberty scored three runs in the top of the 8th, while Reserve only countered with one in the bottom of the inning. The Blue Devils are now 7-1.
