Police: Pa. man kills self, ex-wife, hurts officer

FEASTERVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a 50-year-old suburban Philadelphia man fatally shot his ex-wife and injured her daughter and a police officer before he was fatally shot.

The shooting spree happened in Bucks County on Thursday night. The Bucks County Courier Times reports (http://bit.ly/12redYa ) police say Kenneth Philipp shot his ex-wife as she and her daughter were about to get out of their car at a dress shop around 5:50 p.m. in Lower Southampton Township. The 16-year-old girl was injured by flying glass.

Officers spotted the suspect driving about 15 minutes later. Officers pursued and he stopped his car and exchanged gunfire with police. Police say he fired at an officer, who was saved by his bullet-proof vest.

Authorities say Philipp was found fatally shot in his car. It wasn’t clear if he killed himself or was shot by police.
