“ROB RUANE” Memorial MVP’s of the meet were:

DI Boys – Mark Hadley – Boardman (ran a 9:29.911 to break a 41 year-old county record in the 3200 meter/2 mile run set by Fitch’s Bill Welsh in 1972 [9:31.10] and also won the 1600 meter/1 mile race)

DII Boys – Andrew O’Leary – South Range (won the 100 and 200 meter races and also ran a 50:152 to break a 35 year-old county record in the 400 meter dash set by Springfield Local’s Jeff Bader in 1978 [50:20])

DI Girls – Ebony Davis – Fitch (won four events; 100, 200 and 400 meter dash’s plus the 4X100 meter relay)

DII Girls – Laronte Powell – Ursuline (won three events; 100, 200 and 400 meter dash’s)

Another notable meet accomplishment was Canfield senior Emma Lunne  winning both the DI Girls’ 1600 meter/1 mile and 3200 meter/2 mile races.
