Friends Gather to Remember Former Congressman

Friends and family members paid their respects to former Congressman Charlie Wilson Saturday.

Family and friends gathered at the Bridgeport School District Auditorium to remember the former congressman.

Calling hours are scheduled at auditorium for 8 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

There will a visitation Monday 30 minutes prior to a funeral mass scheduled for 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in St. Clairsville.

Wilson passed away Sunday in Florida. He had been vacationing in Florida in February when he suffered a stroke.

The congressman was 70.
