Man dead, 1 arrested in Pa. apartment shooting

CHELTENHAM, Pa. (AP) — Police in suburban Philadelphia say one man is dead and another person is in custody following a shooting in an apartment building.

WPVI-TV ( ) says the gunman opened fire at the Linwood Gardens apartments in Cheltenham Township in Montgomery County at about 11:30 p.m. Friday.

One man shot in the neck was rushed to Abington Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterward. His name was not immediately released.

Police said a suspect was in custody. They said an AR-15 rifle was found inside the apartment.
