A spokesman for Republic Services/Allied Waste said employees, including residential waste drivers, will return to work and resume normal operations at the Youngstown-area facilities.

In a statement released, Republic ServicesAllied Waste said it appreciates the patience of its customers.

Crews will work throughout the week to pick up the trash and recyclables that have been collecting on some curbsides for days.

Negotiations will continue between the union and the company this week.

No agreement has been reached.
