Springfield Bats Explode Against Lisbon

Springfield took down Lisbon 21-2 in high school baseball Monday evening.

The Tigers jumped in front in the top of the 1st inning by scoring 11 runs.  They score one in both the 2nd and 3rd innings.  Then capped off their offensive explosion with 8 runs in the top of the 5th inning.

Five Springfield batters had multiple hits.  Eoghen Bees led the charge with four hits, two of those doubles, with 2 RBI.  Brandon Chamberlain had three hits and three RBI.  Dalton Donachie also had three hits, one a grand slam, and had a team-high five RBI.  Dom Gentsy was the third Tiger with three hits.  Joey Wrask had two hits in the game.

Cody Pitzo knocked in four as well for Springfield.

Jagr Groubert had a 2-run homerun for Lisbon.

Springfield moves to 8-1 (7-0).
