W. Pa. man allegedly threatens to kill officer

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man has been arrested after allegedly trying to buy a gun and threatening to shoot a police officer.

The Beaver County Times (http://bit.ly/YHrrvA ) reports Sunday that 23-year-old Derrell Devaugh Jackson of Aliquippa is facing charges of solicitation to commit homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide and intimidating a witness.

Authorities say that on multiple occasions in April and May Jackson asked another man to help him buy an unregistered gun. Jackson allegedly told the man that he intended to shoot a victim in another crime, as well as an unidentified police officer.

Jackson was unable to post a $75,000 bond and is being held in the Beaver County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 25. No attorney was listed on court papers.
