YCS Registers 1st Victory over East

Youngstown Christian was trailing by one run after the second inning (4-3); however, the Eagles stormed back to score 16 over the course of the next two innings to register a 20-7 victory over East. Freshman Kayne Brown and Bobby Houston both finished with a pair of base hits. Josh Mounce threw 3 innings, striking out 5 as he picked up his first win on the hill. Mounce now has an ERA of 1.75 in two outings.

The Panther defense closed out the contest with 9 errors. Brandon Jackson, Joe Ingram and Ali Mujahed all reached base on singles. Jackson took the loss for East.

The Panthers (0-5) will play against Youngstown Christian (1-3) once again on Thursday at 4:15 p.m.
