Ex-band director faces sex charges in Ohio

CLEVELAND (AP) — A former Ohio college band director has pleaded not guilty to charges that he tried to have sex with underage girls at a motel.

The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer (http://bit.ly/11EFuFJ ) reports that 32-year-old Bryan Hrehocik made the plea via video during a brief hearing Wednesday. He served as marching band director of Lake Erie College in Painesville for about a year but was fired last week after his arrest.

Police say he was arrested April 17 at a Cleveland-area motel, where he thought he was meeting two sisters, ages 12 and 14.

A spokeswoman for the prosecutor’s office said Hrehocik had arranged the meeting online with a man he thought was the girls’ father, but actually was an investigator with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
