Philly police seek name of boy who brandished gun

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Authorities in Philadelphia are looking for a young boy who allegedly pulled a gun on a girl he encountered crossing the street.

Surveillance video released by police on Thursday appears to show a child between 10 and 12 years old briefly pointing the weapon at the girl in the city’s Tioga section.

The girl raises her hands as if being robbed, then walks away. The boy turns the other direction and gives the gun to a male teenager, whom police are also hoping to identify.

The footage next shows the teenager pointing the gun at several juveniles on the sidewalk, though he then joins this group.

Soon after, police say three suspects threatened a 27-year-old man nearby with the gun.

The incidents took place on Monday evening.
