Boardman’s Mark Olbrych Named to All-Horizon League Squad

Youngstown State junior Mark Olbrych (Boardman, Ohio) was named All-Horizon League, the conference announced on Thursday night at its annual awards banquet on the eve of the 2013 Horizon League Championships.

Olbrych is the first YSU men’s golfer to be named to the all-league squad since Ryan Stocke in 2010. He joins Nate Komsa and Ryan Stocke as the only Penguins to be named to the all-league team.

He has been one of the team’s most consistent performers all year. He had two top-10 finishes on the year. He shot a season-best round of 68 at the Jackrabbit Invitational and had a 69 at the Wildcat Invitational earlier this month.

The Penguins begin action at three-day Horizon League Championships at the Mission Inn Resort on Friday morning.
