Police searching for missing Pa. wife, mother of 2

COLLINGDALE, Pa. (AP) — Police have been searching for a married mother of two from eastern Pennsylvania who has not been seen since her husband says she left to visit friends in New Jersey last week.

Police in Collingdale, Delaware County say 30-year-old Melissa Rodriguez told her husband she was going to spend the weekend with friends on April 19. The woman’s friends tell police they last spoke with her the day before she left and that she never arrived.

Rodriguez’s husband texted her Monday and received no response, then learned she also hadn’t picked up their girls, ages 11 and 7, from school that day.

Chief Robert Adams says it’s possible the woman is safe and simply doesn’t want to be found. He’s asking that she call authorities if that’s the case.
