A new event started on the Youngstown scene on Friday.

“Live on Lincoln” was a street party right in the middle of the Youngstown State University campus put on by the student group Penguin Productions. But the party was for everyone, not just YSU students.

Organizers focused on arranging a family event to get more people involved and make the first-year event a success.

“YSU really cares about the students and the community.  So I think us getting involved that way, the community will know that this is a good place to raise a family or go to school,” said YSU senior Stephen Horn.

Restaurants and bars in the area offered food and drink specials. Nocturn, an 80’s and 90’s band from New York, provided the entertainment.
