Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol said Anthony Lopez, 21, of Pittsburgh, was driving westbound when he tried to pass another vehicle before hitting another car head-on.

Theresa Secrest, 70, of Lowellville was driving the car that Lopez hit.

Both Secrest and Lopez were air-lifted to Saint Elizabeth Health Center and are both in critical condition.

Three passengers in Lopez’s car, Heather Michaels, 20, Jarrot Moore, 20 and a 16-year-old female were also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
