Sounds of the Youngstown Area Community Concert Band filled the Ford Family Recital Hall, at DeYor Performing Arts Center in downtown Youngstown.

Saturday’s concert was a benefit for Youngstown State University’s SMARTS program.   SMARTS stands for Students Motivated by the Arts.

Cash donations were collected at the door to help fund future SMARTS programming.

Aaron Copeland’s “Lincoln Portrait”, along with music from “Les Miserables” and “The Wizard of Oz” were featured during the 90-minute concert.
