Three YSU Players Heading to the NFL

Three Youngstown State football players are headed to the NFL.

Offensive lineman Lamar Mady, running back Jamaine Cook, and tight end Will Shaw have all been signed as undrafted free agents.

Mady is heading across the country to California, where he’ll become an Oakland Raider.

Cook is heading back to his hometown of Cleveland as a member of the Browns. He leaves YSU as the Penguin’s all-time leader in all-purpose yards and second all-time in rushing yards.

Shaw, who moved over from safety to tight end midway through his junior year, has been signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
