Casals de Spa and Salon hosted their first-ever Earth Month Golf Outing at Knoll Run Golf Course in Lowellville.

They’re partnering with Aveda and the Sierra Club of Ohio to fundraise for clean water.

A Sierra Club representative decided to take the awareness one step further, by cutting off all her hair and dying it blue.

“Casals de Spa and Salon was our biggest funder last year and so I wanted to support them by doing something a little bit dramatic, a little crazy and so we want to combine their talents and put it toward a good cause,” said Amanda Keith of the Sierra Club of Ohio. “We raised $10,000 this year with Aasals de Spa and Salon for clean water issues.”

Thirty teams participated.

Organizers estimated they collected even more money on Sunday through auctions and raffles.

They’re already considering holding the event again next year.
