ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Firefighters have put out a blaze at a 7-story apartment building in Allentown and they had to make several rescues. Authorities say no serious injuries are reported.
Assistant fire Chief Lee Laubach says the fire broke out around 10:20 a.m. Monday and it took about 30 minutes to knock it down. It was eventually extinguished in less than an hour.
Laubach says firefighters had to rescue several people, including a woman on the third floor screaming for help from her window. Officials say that woman was being treated for smoke inhalation, but no other injuries were reported.
There was no immediate word on what may have started the fire.
