One man is dead and two others were hospitalized after a shooting on Youngstown’s North Side.

Kristopher Stuart, 26, was fatally shot at about 9:30 p.m. Monday at his home in the 2100 block of Elm Street.

Police said two other Youngstown men, Dejuan Thomas, 31, and his nephew, Kalonte Carter, 17, suffered gunshot wounds at the home.

Police said Thomas was shot multiple times in the chest and torso and Carter was shot in the left arm. Both walked into St. Elizabeth Health Center’s Emergency Room about 20 minutes apart, police said.

Thomas, police said, went into surgery shortly after, police said. Both are in stable condition.

Police are still investigating what caused the shooting and who is responsible.
