2 jailed after police raid alleged Pa. meth lab

SOMERSET, Pa. (AP) — Two men have been jailed after state police say they found a methamphetamine lab in their southwestern Pennsylvania residence.

Troopers from Somerset say Tuesday’s early morning raid grew out of information police obtained in a forgery investigation which authorities did not detail. Somerset County District Attorney Liza Lazzari-Strasiser planned to brief the media later in the day on the investigation.

For now, 22-year-old Jordan O’Donnell and 29-year-old Matthew Bowman remained in the county jail after being charged with conspiring to manufacture the powerful stimulant and other crimes.

Online court records don’t list attorneys for the men who were arrested and arraigned before dawn and face a preliminary hearing May 9.

Police say they found supplies and equipment needed to make the drug in their home on the Mason-Dixon Highway in Summit Township.
