2 who died in central Ohio likely overdosed

DELAWARE, Ohio (AP) — Police say the deaths of two people whose bodies were found hours apart in central Ohio were likely related drug overdoses.

Police in Delaware, north of Columbus, said the body of 30-year-old Shane Kraus was discovered just after 1 a.m. Tuesday in a vehicle. Then, just after 7 a.m., the body of 37-year-old Virgil Mitchell III was found inside an apartment nearby.

Police said in a statement that the deaths “appear to be related and are being investigated as drug overdoses.” No other details were released Tuesday.

The investigation is continuing. Autopsies are planned.
