Brookfield Holds Mock Crash in Advance of Prom Season

Nearly 11,000 deaths related to impaired driving occur each year in the United States.

On Tuesday, some students in Brookfield got a first-hand look at what impact it can have on people’s lives. Brookfield Township police and fire departments, in cooperation with the Brookfield High School SADD program, conducted a live mock alcohol-related crash in front of the school campus.

Students witnessed what happens at the scene as EMS personnel cared for victims and police investigated the crash.  Officials hope with it being prom season, that students will drive responsibly and not get into a vehicle with an impaired driver.
