Ursuline’s Shore Shuts Down Aquinas

Makayla Shore took a no-hitter into the 7th before allowing the only Lady Knight hit of the game in an 11-2 win over Saint Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday. On the day, Shore struck out ten without issuing a walk. She also drove in a pair of runs at the plate. Shore improves to 11-3 on the season.

The Irish bats were led by Macey Gunther who tallied three hits and three RBIs. McKenzie Stimpert had two hits and scored four times. Stephanie Ohalek had a bases-loaded triple in a five-run third inning.

The win improves the Irish to 4-0 in the Diocese of Youngstown league with one game remaining against Warren JFK.
