3 boys charged in north Philly toy gun harassment

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Prosecutors in Philadelphia say three juveniles have been charged in incident in which boys were seen on surveillance video threatening people with a gun that turned out to be just a toy.

The city district attorney’s office said the 10-, 13- and 14-year-old boys are charged with harassment, disorderly conduct, possession of an instrument of crime and conspiracy.

Police said they were recorded April 22 pointing the replica handgun at people on a north Philadelphia street.

The older boys are also charged with pointing the same gun at a man and harassing him. They are facing simple assault and reckless endangering charges in that incident.
